She specializes in the preparation and review of federal, multi-state and local income tax returns for corporations, partnerships and individuals; identification & calculation of incentive tax credits; preparation and review of consolidated and single company tax provisions, and management of federal and state income tax audits.
She has worked in both public accounting and private industry and has also assisted in running a family business. Outside of the office Laurie enjoys surfing, spending time at the beach, camping, traveling and reading.

Prior to working for Onisko & Scholz, Natalia spent five years in private accounting as an Accounting Manager for technology companies. She also spent two years working for a quasi-governmental, non-profit organization. There she was responsible for preparing their financial reports, cost allocation and budgets.
Her experience also includes four years in public accounting where she primarily worked on audits, reviews and tax preparation.

She has installed accounting systems for non-profit organizations and regularly consults regarding billings and internal control procedures. She is experienced in preparing cost allocation plans and executing them.
Sarah is a Certified Fraud Examiner, and has worked on many forensic and fraud related engagements for non-profits, governmental agencies and commercial clients.
Sarah is a Long Beach local, and outside of the office enjoys spending time with her husband and two young children.
Evan graduated from the University of California at Santa Cruz with a major in Political Science in 1992.
After graduating, he worked as an Auditor for the Western Conference of Teamsters Pension Trust while attending night school at UCLA Extension in order to complete their Certificate in Accounting.
Upon completion, he entered the field of Public Accounting gaining valuable experience in the fields of auditing, accounting and tax. In 2015, Evan graduated from Golden Gate University with a Masters in Tax degree in order to build on his specialty areas of Estate and Trust work, as well as high-net worth clients.
As a lifelong sailor, Evan enjoys spending time on the water, boating; and in the backyard gardening.
He regularly trains clients on how to use QuickBooks and various other accounting softwares. He works with many of the firms bookkeeping clients, providing them with monthly bookkeeping reports.
He has worked as a member of the firms audit team, and as a Certified Fraud Examiner, has also regularly assisted with many forensic accountings.
She began her public accounting career at Grant Thornton and later moved into a regional, and local firm to service mid-size clients. She then spent a couple years in the private sector, performing internal audits at one of the largest title insurance companies, before returning to public accounting, at Onisko & Scholz.
Natalie grew up in Long Beach, and after spending four years in San Diego, California after college, she recently returned to her hometown. She likes to spend her free time re-discovering Long Beach, attending community events, eating delicious foods, and being active outdoors.
Brett is a CPA, and is employed with the firm as a Senior Accountant. He started his career at Onisko & Scholz as an intern in 2013. Upon graduation in 2014, he became a full-time member of the team. Brett spends much of his time preparing individual and business tax returns, as well as assisting with litigation services, specifically family law matters and business valuations. He also compiles financial statements and prepares accountings that can be submitted to the court for estate, trust and conservatorship matters.
Brett has been recently married, and outside of the office enjoys spending time and traveling with his wife and extended family and is an avid golfer.

John is a new dad, and outside of the office enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter.

He also supervises the firm’s audit procedures for financial statements, cemetery authority, and 401(k) audits. He is responsible for planning procedures, risk assessment, requesting audit documents, communicating with clients, performing field work and sampling procedures, completing financial statements, and researching new procedures and pronouncements.
He visits clients monthly to assist with month end accounting work (including bank reconciliations, journal entries, and resolving issues). He is responsible for year-end accounting procedures to complete individual, corporate, s-corp, partnership, trust and gift tax returns.
He prepares financial statements and works on monthly accountings with many of the firms non-profit and commercial clients. He also assists with preparing personal and corporate tax returns.
Outside of the office Isaac enjoys playing guitar and bass, running, swimming and traveling.

She works with a number of non-profit clients, as well as privately held companies preparing compiled, reviewed and audited financial statements. She also prepares personal, corporate, and LLC tax returns.
Prior to working at Onisko & Scholz, she was a staff accountant for a Dental HMO.
Outside of the office Lindsey enjoys running and hiking.
John is a Staff Accountant at Onisko & Scholz. He prepares 1040 tax returns and does other general accounting for our clients. Prior to becoming a staff accountant, John worked as an intern for two tax seasons in our tax department. In college he was a member of the Beta Alpha Psi/Accounting Society, and volunteered at “Adopt a Beach”. In his free time John enjoys fishing and other outdoor activities, as well as playing the guitar.
She is actively involved with CPA Associates International, Association of Accounting Marketing, Professional Fiduciary Association of California, and the Estate Planning and Trust Council of Long Beach.
Prior to her work at Onisko & Scholz, Lauren worked as a District Manager at ADP, and a Sales Associate at Nordstrom.
Lauren is a Long Beach local, and outside of the office enjoys traveling and spending time with her husband and two small children.
Prior to her employment at Onisko & Scholz, Carly worked in banking as a teller and supervisor. She also worked for a civil law firm as a legal assistant for three and a half years. The firm specialized in personal injury and wrongful death cases stemming from asbestos exposure (mesothelioma).
With such a solid background in forensics, she was a natural fit for the firm’s forensic accounting department. Carly works closely with Kim Onisko, partner in charge of the forensic accounting practice, and interfaces with attorneys regularly. She is also responsible for all related administrative functions.
Carly is a long-time resident of Long Beach. In her spare time you can find her running, fishing, camping or in the Sierras.
